Design Elements

Visual elements built for consistency

Texture

One element that can be leveraged in graphics — such as posters, social media graphics, or PowerPoint slideshows — is this coarse vector texture, representative of the tough and strenuous nature of the firefighting profession.

Icon Style

The IAFF's icon style utilizes a simplistic outline style that ties back into the outlined ‘stamp’ version of the logo. Any color from the primary and secondary palettes can be applied to icons.

Other Elements

A thin red line may be applied to the bottom of IAFF documents to bring together the cohesive elements of the IAFF brand. This line is featured on the IAFF letterhead, statements, flyers, factsheets, and other materials distributed by the IAFF. The line measures 1/6" (1 pica) in height and is the official IAFF red. Using this line helps identify IAFF-related materials in a simple yet bold manner.

Using high-quality photography is also encouraged when available and applicable. With a number of submissions from members and journalists alike each year from the IAFF Media Awards, in addition to photos from IAFF events, these may also be used as textured background elements or be adjusted for color.
